The Code on the Bottle Decides.
European makers do not approve oils by brand — they approve them by specification, a code printed on the back of the bottle: BMW Longlife-04 · Mercedes-Benz 229.51 / 229.52 · VW 504 00 / 507 00 · Porsche A40 / C30 · Fiat 9.55535. If the code for your engine is not on the bottle, the logo on the front does not matter.
